NATURAL ANODIZING
Things to know
-
Natural anodizing protects by converting the surface layer of the aluminum into aluminum oxide
-
Coating thickness can be between 0.2 to 1 mil (5 to 25 microns)
-
Wear resistance is fare
-
Items can be etched to give satin finish. Please note deep etching will affect size and should be avoided on precision machined parts.
-
Unsealed anodizing is the best base for bonding of paints and adhesives.

COLORED ANODIZING
Things to know
Colored anodizing has the same characteristics as natural anodizing, however they have an extra step for dying to the desired color.
We offer all main colors and can organize special colors to meet your requirements.
You can laser engrave through all anodizing for professional marked components.
We offer anodizing to Mil spec type 2 class 2 and many other international specifications.

HARD ANODIZING
Type 3 class 1 and 2
Hard anodizing has the thickest and has the highest wear resistance then any of the other anodizing's.
Mil spec type III unsealed, offers the best wear results and is an excellent base for paints and adhesives
Coating thickness can be anywhere from 0.2 to 2.5 mils (material dependent) with the color varying from light grey to dark grey black.
Items can be dyed darker at the expense of your hardness and wear resistance.
Buildup is considered to be half the coating thickness
