Chemfilm is a chemical conversion coating performed on aluminum components for protection from corrosion. Unlike anodizing, a chemfilmed compnent maintains electrical conductivity and is frequently used for parts that need to remained continuity. Chemfilm on aluminum is an excellent base for paints and adhesive surfaces .
